Imperial Fists Centurians

I have two major problems with Centurians. The first is the fluff or lack of. Did we need them?? How do they fit in? No and they don't. Secondly, the model looks horrible. Im sorry but they look too heavily armoured and the field of view to the operator is none existent.

However, they are excellent in game and I was confident I could model them better. So I started by assembling them without the external support legs and extra armour. Giving a sleaker look. Oh and the operator can see!!! The poses I went for are quit dynamic and added with loin cloths, Imperial fist icons from the drop pod kit and a simple head swap have made something quite cool.

Imperial Fists 3rd Company Storm Talon

Overall this was a nice kit to build. It plays well in the game as well. Next up Centurians.

Star Wars X Wing Miniatures... Customised

The miniatures used in Fantasy Flights Star Wars X-wing game come already painted. They are well painted but I fancied putting a bit of me onto them...

The first 4 images are before and the second lot are the results. The TIE's needed darkening so I give then a wash of Nuln Oil and then re painted the black on the wings. To make it pop I added some engine glow. I know it has no glow in the films but I think it looks cool. I then painted the cockpit glass and glow with gloss varnish.

The two x-wings needed more work. I started with a heavy wash of Seraphim Sepia before picking out the R2 units and cockpit surrounds.

I wanted one ship to be Luke with R2D2 and the other to be Wedge from the films so I added the yellow strip to Lukes ship and painted R2D2. For Wedge I painted his R2 in red and matched his cockpit. All that was left then was to black the engines and add some engine glow.

Enjoy!
